Background
The Department for Education (DfE) is the UK Government department responsible for child protection, education (compulsory, further and higher education), apprenticeships and wider skills in England. DfE has established 12 employer-led Institutes of Technology (IoT) to offer higher level technical education to help close skills gaps in key STEM areas. A further 8 IOTs are planned.
The Requirement
DfE are inviting proposals from FE and HE institutions to establish the further 8 IoTs and looked to Crown Commercial Service’s Management Consultancy framework, RM3745 to appoint an external organisation to carry out the assessment of the non-technical areas of the applications and continue to support the IOT programme as required during pre-award stage.
Our Success
DfE selected Bramble Hub and Matt Hamnett to complete this work on the basis of our knowledge of the HE and FE sector and previous experience of assessing detailed proposals.
