LONDON, 1ST APRIL 2022, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Bramble Hub staff were delighted last week when their single, released for fun after a staff Christmas Party, became the most played song of all time. The song, a cover version of Bob Marley’s 1977 hit One Love, had been streamed on the music service Spotify almost 3.2 billion times at the time of writing, easily eclipsing the previous record of 3.082 billion streams set by Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You, which was released in 2017. Spotify’s servers were reported to have crashed at one point due to the unprecedented demand.
The company, previously best known for its expertise in helping SMEs win public sector IT projects, is now assessing options for diversifying into the entertainment market and has begun the building of a multimedia production studio in its Central London offices.
Richard Archer, Bramble Hub’s Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to have received this accolade. While we made the single for a bit of fun, we have been aware that our team’s talents extend to more than just bid management, and so the single’s success is not a great surprise. We have some other projects in the pipeline that we’re not yet ready to talk about, but I can say that collaborations are on the cards.” Archer declined to comment on reports that Eminem and Nicki Minaj had been seen leaving Bramble Hub’s offices.
Richard Archer also sought to reassure existing customers and partners: “We have no plans to reduce our involve in public sector IT projects. While we love making music, government frameworks remain our true passion”.
