Background

The Department for International Development (DFID) is a central government department with 44 offices distributed across the world. Its staff make use of approximately 3500 corporately issued desktop computers and laptops.

The Requirement

DFID wanted to move from Windows 7 to Windows 10 in its two UK offices and adopt a deployment and management process that would allow the infrastructure to be extended to the whole of DFID’s estate. In January 2017, DFID issued an ITT under Crown Commercial Service’s Technology Services framework, RM 1058, to identify and contract with a suitable supplier.  

Our Success

Bramble Hub proposed a solution from its partner Altiatech which was selected. This included a managed service approach that offered DFID the greatest options in flexibility and ensured that, after the initial development of the solution, DFID would receive technical support and training throughout the life time of the service plan.
