Background
The Department for Transport (DfT) is the Government department responsible for the English transport network and non-devolved transport matters in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The Requirement
DfT were looking for a suitable partner with actuarial consultancy experience to peer review the methodology behind a high level Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) report on potential costs to private individuals and businesses of extending the scope of compulsory motor insurance in the United Kingdom. DfT used Crown Commercial Service’s Management Consultancy Framework RM3745 to place the contract.
Our Success
Bramble Hub and Grant Thornton UK were selected as offering the required expertise to undertake the peer review to confirm that the methodology and analysis are reasonable and fit for purpose, and recommend any improvements to the model used.
