Bramble Hub partner Nous Group has identified five critical elements of successful public sector data strategies. Led by Katharine Purser, a Principal at Nous, and with contributions from her colleagues in the UK, Australia and Canada, the project delivered a report titled Delivering Data’s Promise: Making data strategy work in the public sector, which examines the key factors involved in creating a public sector data strategy.

Writing on the Nous website, Purser and her colleague Nic Dillon suggest that “...the difference between a winning data strategy and an under-performing one is the quality of the conversations you have along the way.” They then go on to recommend five starter questions that organisations should ask in order to begin the necessary conversations.
