risual, a Bramble Hub partner specialising in managed services and IT solutions, will be providing a fully-managed IT Service to the Single Source Regulations Office (SSRO), including a Security Operations Centre (SOC) from April 2023.

The award of the contract coincides with the SSRO’s plan to move to a new London-based location, and a further shift of the SSRO’s Microsoft based IT systems to an entirely remote infrastructure. Currently, the IT managed service (ITMS) and the SOC are operated by two different suppliers under separate contracts. risual will be taking the lead across the whole service upon the expiry of these contracts, and additionally plan and implement the transition to the new services, subcontracting with e2e assure Ltd. for the specialist SOC service.

The SSRO is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. It is responsible for overseeing the Single Source Procurement Framework established by Part 2 of the Defence Reform Act 2014 and plays a key role in the regulation of single source, or non-competitive, defence contracts.
