Stirling Council award contract for Waste Management software to Bramble Hub and Webaspx

Background
Stirling Council (SC) serves a population of about 91,000 in the city and former county of Stirling, central Scotland. It operates three Household Waste Recycling Centres and is acquiring a new fleet of waste collection vehicles to improve the resilience, reliability and cost efficiency of its waste collection services.
The Requirement
SC were looking to introduce a route optimisation system as part of its modernisation of its waste collection services, to improve effectiveness by reducing the number of vehicles, the miles they travel and the amount of fuel they use.
Our Success
SC selected the Combined WM Optimiser software, available from Bramble Hub and Webaspx on the government’s G-Cloud software applications catalogue. The contract, signed in May 2016, included software licences, hosting, training, a route modelling support pack and an in-cab portal software and hardware for 14 vehicles.
