Background

The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) is an executive agency of the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). The RPA delivers the European Union (EU) Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) payments to farmers and traders in England, paying out over £2 billion in subsidies each year and manages the Rural Land Register and rural development schemes.

The Requirement

RPA sought a partnership with a provider of IT Managed Services for their Rural Payments Applications which underpin RPA’s core operational functions and the everyday running of its statutory functions. An ITT was issued in May 2016 under Crown Commercial Service’s Technology Services framework (RM1058).

Our Success

Defra awarded the contract to Bramble Hub and its partner Version 1 in July 2016 and work started to achieve the commencement of service by November 2016. The 2-year contract was signed on 29th September 2016.
