For the past few years, life in the public sector has been an accelerating cycle of disruption and change. With budget restraints and the arrival of new technologies, that trend is set to continue. How does this look from the perspective of the civil service?

Moorhouse Consulting, a Bramble Hub consulting partner that focuses on delivering change, has delivered a new piece of research into the views of civil servants. The report, which is titled The UK Civil Service in 2023 and beyond: Challenges and Opportunities, was produced in partnership with the School of Management at the University of Bath. It explores four questions:

What can be done to address the critical capability and capacity gaps?
What are the best approaches to build leadership skills now and in the future?
How can teams build communities and sustainable working cultures that tackle mental health pressures?
